Proofreading Proofreading is the final stage of the writing process. Unlike editing, proofreading is a monolingual review of the translated document (the source document is only referred to if needed, to clarify queries) that simulates the experience of the end user. It is performed by a second or third linguist with knowledge of the relevant industry and involves checking for spelling, grammar and other types of errors* and ensuring that the final translation:

Desktop publishing DTP consists of incorporating the translated content into the original layout and making the necessary adjustments according to the target language typesetting rules, ensuring sure the final translation layout is 100% faithful to the original. Our in-house DTP specialists perform the DTP, and a native linguist with DTP skills systematically reviews the formatted translation to ensure that the translated document is error-free and ready to be published. |
